Making an old chair new again! This chair and ottoman cushions have seen better days and needed a refresh. Unfortunately the cushions are not removable so I couldn’t just recover them like I usually do. However they both have a lip on the underside before they are attached to the base so I was able to make simple slip covers for them. Just like the way a fitted sheet work on your bed, these covers have elastic that slips underneath the cushions and holds the cover on snug. Made out of an upholstery grade micro fibre this chair now has a colour blocked and mixed texture look to it and it’s life is extended.

From everyday pillows to holiday pillows! An easy way to switch up your decor. You don’t need all new pillows to store away for half the year just get covers made to fit the pillows you already have. Easy to remove with zippers, wash and put away when the season is done!
Custom pillow covers made to order. Another custom shirt/ jacket for a client. This time playing off the camouflage print we went with a military inspired design. Including shoulder epaulets and brass accents in the zipper and buttons. Again we went with a classic shirt collar and sleeve cuffs, straight hem and side slits. Lastly some floral contrasting fabric was used on the under side of the cuffs and the inner back yolk to add a feminine touch.
As you may have noticed I’ve made a few similar but different shirt/jackets for this same client. Once I have a well fitting pattern made it is easy to change little details to make each piece unique with the same great fit. How fun is this! The fabric is a printed light weight corduroy. This time my client wanted a classic button up shirt design with a standard shirt collar and buttoned sleeve cuffs. We went with a straight hem so the corduroy fabric wouldn’t curl up and added side slit for ease of movement.
This custom jumper is a duplicate of a client’s favourite piece in her closet. The original was made out of wool but this copy is made out of a stretch denim (left over fabric from when I made her jeans). One small change from the original was to bring the shoulder straps in closer to the neck slightly for a better fit.
Car seat poncho made to keep a little one warm in the car. How cute is this fabric! It’s so incredibly soft too. This poncho features a zipper for easy access to car seat buckles.
Re-purposed an old Hudson Bay Company wool blanket that had seen better days into throw pillows. The blanket had some patched burn holes in it from a camp fire many years ago but besides those few spots the rest of the blanket was in good condition. This client was glad to see this blanket could be used for some pillows and enjoyed again. These pillow covers have zippers in them so they can easily be removed and washed.
