Also a custom unique bench cushion to match. No right angles on this cushion making it a little different then how I typically sew them but it turned out great. Original foam was starting to disintegrate so new foam was also cut to size.
Custom window seat cushion cover with matching bolster pillows for each end. This set use to be a peach colour that was stained and faded from all its years in the window. With this new look it’s going to bring a modern, fresh and clean feel to the room.

How awesome did this colour combo turn out! I love it!
Another @closetcorepatterns pouf made! Lots of different fabric textures used on this one. I used cotton, faux leather and suede, upholstery fabric, twill canvas and sateen. Stuffed full with all my fabric scraps from the past 4 months. These are always fun to make and I’m always amazed at how much I can stuff inside them. Check out this finished batch of cushions! Turning this sun porch into a tropical oasis! Scroll down to see what they looked like before, originally two mix matched sets of furniture with different cushions that were old, lumpy and stained. Now they all match and the gorgeous rattan furniture stands out. This set was a big one with a total of 20 cushions!!
Sewed up yesterday, picked up and sitting comfortable pool side today. This customer sent me a photo of her newly covered cushions with a kind message “Thank you so much for giving our tired old patio chairs a new lease of life!! I think they look great!” I love seeing photos of the cushions on the patio furniture. Looks like a brand new set!
Recently I made this matching set of black out roman shades, throw pillows and window seat cushion.
You can’t see the detail of the fabric in this photo but it has a sparkly silver threads running through it like a fine pin stripes. Previously this window had roller blinds that wouldn’t roll up any more. The customer brought me the rod that they were on and I was able to attach the new roman shades to it so that the same hanging brackets could be used. New slip covers made for these cushions. A few years back I re-covered this customers cushions in a fun tropical print fabric. Since then my customer has moved and now the same furniture sits in a sun room inside the house rather then outside on the covers porch seasonally. The tropical print was fine for the warmer months but she wanted to be able to switch it up for the winter season. So I made a new set of slip covers that can be taken on and off when needed. The pillows and back rest cushions are the same full cover that I always do with a zipper at the bottom but for the seat cushions I made custom fitted sheet type covers that can simply be stretched over the cushion and are held on with an elastic bottom. Just like that, it now looks like a brand new set of furniture
Custom cushions made to fit a custom built in on this deck. These extra large cushions turned out great and the customer was so happy with them. They won’t get used too much any more this season but as soon as the weather gets nice in the spring they will be ready to use.
Finished pillow collection completed this morning and already found its way to a home and on a couch.
Roman shades made to fit perfectly in this kitchen window and can easily be pulled up and down Bench seat cushion in a customers home. Custom made to fit the size of their bench. Bonus pillow made out of left over fabric to use on above bench
Here I made a duvet cover and matching pillow covers. This whole set is removable and can easily be washed. This project was a special request from a customer who was making a wooden trundle bed for his granddaughter to use with her American girl dolls. He was making this doll bed, custom size to fit the dolls and needed some mattresses made to fit exactly in the space. Rather then just creating square cushions to fit in the space we decided on cushions with rounded edges and tufting to create a softer looking mattress. The mattresses turned out great and fit perfectly into the bed. Put all together this bed looks amazing and is going to make a little girl really happy. Here I made a window seat cushion, roman shades, a valance and four pillows all out of the same fabric to transform this living room into a cozy space. Something as simple as updating pillows and adding new window coverings can easily change the look of a room.
In the summer there's nothing better than sitting outside enjoying the weather and listening to the nature around you. Adirondack chairs are the perfect chairs to relax in with their nice deep seat, large arm rest and tall back, there's just one problem... They are a little hard to rest your head on (especially if you want to take a nap). A customer came to me with this problem and we came up with the perfect solution, a head rest cushion. These cushions have 2 thick elastics on the back that slip over the middle slats of the chair. They can be adjusted up and down to the perfect hight of your head and don't slip down because the elastic holds them on tight. These cushions make a perfect accessory to your chairs in the back yard.
One of the things I enjoy making are cushions, they are easy and they always turn out great! When I got this request I was a little worried but I'm always up for trying something new and challenging. This customer came to me to make him custom boat cushions for under his boat, but this wasn't just any boat, this was a boat that he spent the past 20 years building himself. So these were not just your standard square corner cushions, they had points and curves and angles and cut outs...oh my! But I was up for the challenge! So the customer brought me the foam for the cushions cut to the correct shape to fit in his boat. I then worked on making the cover to go over top of the foam, figuring out the different angles and slopes as I went along. In the end when I slipped the foam into the cover it fit perfect! There was also some extra foam and fabric so I also made some smaller pillows. Below you can see photos of the cushions in the boat, they fit so good it looks like they came with the boat. |
