Bridesmaid dress, prom dress, mother of the bride dress, formal dress or everyday dress. Get the changes you want made to your dress so that you love it and will wear it again and again! Here’s 3 before and after examples of ways I’ve changed these dresses. The First pink dress to the right was a bridesmaid dress that was worn once and then changed into a style of dress that the customer would be more likely to wear more often. The dress was hemmed, some of the skirt fullness was taken out, the neck line was changed to include two straps and a lace overlay was added. This dress is hardly recognizable to the original dress. The navy blue dress to the right was a formal dress that the customer had worn to a few different events over the years and just didn’t fit any more but she still wanted to salvage it some how. So I removed the top, added a waistband and turned it into a skirt for her. The skirt can now be mixed and matched with different tops. Finally the red dress to the right was a prom dress. This girl spent a long time looking for a dress that was perfect and had all the elements that she wanted. This dress was great but adding a slit made it the perfect dress for this customer. This dress was also hemmed to the perfect length to go with her heals so there was no worrying about tripping on the dress. Making small or big changes to existing clothing is a is a great way to make sure you are wearing something you truly feel comfortable and confident in! |

Thanks for elaborating on how altering a dress can help improve how it looks when worn. I've been looking for ways to help my friend in boosting her appeal before returning to the office. I think looking or a trusted tailor could help her achieve this in the future.
